Daily Make-up !?

Hello everyone!
I haven't posted in about two weeks as I've had January exams in the sciences and English, so that's been my priority for the past couple of weeks! However, January exams are (thank god) over, and now I don't have any exams until May.

In this post I'd like to talk about my daily make-up routine. I've always been unsure about doing this, as I've never had particularly good or expensive make-up, and I'm certainly no expert at applying it! Despite this, I thought I might quite enjoy to write it, especially as recently, due to the condition of my skin getting much better, I've had much more fun applying make-up.

To begin with, I moisturise my face, usually using a Boots-own brand, which I find to work perfectly well.

Then, I apply Max Factor Mastertouch concealer under my eyes and on any red patches on my face. I then put Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer in ivory on my eyelids and on any other blemishes.

I always use the Real Techniques Core Collection brushes, using the foundation brush to blend the concealer. I received this brushes as a Christmas present and I absolutely adore them - I'd been wanting them for ages!
Next, I either use Rimmel Match Perfection or Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid foundation. I apply relatively thin layer of this all over my face. I use the contour brush (and yes, I know it's the wrong brush) to blend this in. I find the Rimmel foundation to be a little thicker than the Maybelline one, although I am fairly devoted to them both. I have both of them in the shade ivory.
Then, using the powder brush, I apply Rimmel Stay Matte powder all over my face. (I'm a bit of a Rimmel fan can you tell).
At this point, if I'm feeling like I can face the emotional trauma that is eyeliner, I will apply Soap and Glory Supercat eyeliner on my upper lash-line, drawing (or attempting to) a thin line across and then a small flick at the end.

Finally, depending on whether I've decided to go for eyeliner or not, I will use either Rimmel Scandaleyes mascara or Collection 2000 Longer Lash mascara. I only apply this on the upper lashes, as I look ridiculous if I put it on the bottom!

After this, I will fill in my eyebrows with a particularly awful MUA eyebrow palette. I intend to buy the Sleek eyebrow palette soon, but I just haven't got round to it yet!

I know that this probably isn't particularly impressive or interesting, but at the moment I'm just toying around with ideas for different posts, and seeing what I enjoy writing and what I don't so much.

Thanks for reading!
Menna
